Demeter has worked with ten public sector organisations across the country, providing water saving services to various types of properties.

Demeter has developed an innovative on-line water system to provide a comprehensive monitoring service where the water consumption of each site is checked on a daily basis. Using this system, problems can be identified immediately to enable prompt responses. The service ensures a completely sustainable solution and to date has saved well over £1 million for our customers across all sectors, public and private.

This report summarises the situation found at each of the 72 public sector sites where Demeter has monitored consumption, comprising 50 schools, 12 leisure facilities, 6 offices, 3 depots and a residential care home. While a number of sites were monitored due to suspicions of high water consumption, others were monitored without any known problems. Of the 72 sites, 54 (75%) were shown to have losses.
