Demeter responded quickly to an urgent request from a customer last week to help locate and repair a major leak on the 12" main pipe feeding the steel pipe manufacturing factory.

We were on site in 4 hours to assess the situation and plan the repair which needed to work around the site operations. The leak was pinpointed the following morning and materials arranged to ensure the repair could be completed on a first time basis. As soon as the factory shut down its operations at 10pm, Demeter were on site to excavate onto the leak and complete the repair shortly after midnight.

The customer was delighted with the response which meant the repair was completed a little over 24 hours after the burst happened and without any disruption to the operations of this large site.

Our monitoring system confirmed the extent of the leak which was running at 88,000 litres every hour, and the effectiveness of the repair.
